Aloys

Aloys is an Ishgardian dragoon who has been sent to Gridania for (reasons) (i dont know) (SHES NOT FIRED.) and ended up embroiled in the WOL plot. She's not thrilled about that. She has a role and it involves killing dragons. Not getting wrapped up in all this primal nonsense - though it is fairly satisfying to kill these massive beasts.

She's professional but not nice. A devout follower of Halone. Devoted to her cause. Certainly the plot of Heavensward won't fuck her up forever

• she's religious and very serious about being a dragoon. dragons are like evil and stuff after all. we have to kill them badly. tihs certainly won't be something that's deeply shaken by finding out that everyone is tainted with dragon power
• being a dragoon is kind of her identity. she fought hard to get where she is
• she doesn't have a lot of patience for children largely bc she has no idea how she's supposed to talk to them. alphinaud is basically a baby to her
• weirdly stiff with haurchefaunt bc he's like... yknow... kind of important in ishgard ... they aren't really close. despite his attempts to be so sweeties
• she has some kind of hyperandrogenism so, body hair etc
• it's fun for her to be mean to people. it's kind of fun.
• but she's not like... an asshole always. everyone has their hobbies yknow
• at some point near the end of heavensward (either at the haurchefaunt moment or the last nidhogg fight) she gets her throat crushed & punctured in a way that paralyzes her vocal cords so she loses a lot of her voice permanently. after that she's really hoarse and can't raise her voice above somewhat quiet speaking tone
• i need to do dragoon quasts obviously to figure out where she stands w/ estinien but my instinct is just deep respect
• the kind of woman who goes shirtless in her down time.
