- multiple kinds of 'androids': warm pour (ppl who have had robotic parts implanted or modded in, even if in the end they're more mech than organic) and cold pour (started from scratch, synthetic, can still have organic parts but they'll be lab grown or harvested; these are most frequently done with human genetic material, so they're done in batches so as to not saturate the market with too much of a particular gene pool)
- androids still age. warm pours age mostly at a standard rate, cold pours age slower but they're still not like naturally immortal, it's just easier for them to get a whole new skin layer and replacement parts if they (or their rights holders) want
- even warm pours are technically beholden to weapons manufacturers. there's no civilian androids. they are allowed to play in civilian lifestyles but every (above board) mod and implant is licensed thru weapons manufacturers
- and cold pours are 100% owned by them and just licensed or leased to private rights holders, if not held and used by the manufacturers.
- cold pours must have their rights held by a human or a warm pour or they're technically illegal, which in most cases means seizure and resale, or in extreme scenarios, disassembly.
- cold pours are made in batches as mentioned. 441-SOV Biteforce vessels are poured in 18-vessel creches so that each batch has 3 cells of 6 vessels. among the androids the creche is like extended family, and a cell is somewhere between a family unit and close coworkers.
- usually 2 or 3 creches are poured per genetic signature but they'll reuse that signature after a few other batches
- 00 was a solo pour bc she was a test run so she has no immediate cell or creche but the younger creches kind of looked up to her
- batches of 2 or 3 creches are poured maybe 4-6 months apart - slower the first handful bc they were still working out the kinks
- chronologically its like
- year 0: 00's pour
- 4: 00 is enlisted
- 5: 1st creche of 18, creche 2 late that year
- 6: creches 3 and 4 in spring, 5-7 in fall
- 7-9 per year after
- year 9: creche 31 <- the thing is in here
